The novelty of the chinese market for german companies is supported by an article from the Ruhr Nachrichten of 07.09.2005:
The chairman of the board of the Karstadt/Quelle group Thomas Middelhoff plans again an international expansion.
Middelhoff is the opinion that the concept of department stores will work just in cities as London, Paris ans Schanghai. After the reorganization of the company at the end of 2006 the expansion is to be tackled.
