2006-05-02 On-line advertising grows in two digits


In the first quarter 2006 were 5,5 billion euro invested in advertising and about 1 billion of these investments were spent for on-line advertising.

So in the meanwhile the online-advertising grows faster then the classical advertising. The on-line sector increased on the average by 53,4 per-cent and is with a totally growth rate of 6,3 per-cent in comparison to the prior year therefore absolutely in advance.

The published forecast which was made in September 2005 by the online sales-house (OVK) is exceeded clearly and the total volume of the current year is corrected upwards.

For 2006 there is forecasted a further growth for on-line advertising.

So in this year a profit could realize of totally 124 millions euro, and this is because 39 companies of the top-50 advertising-companies increase their engagement by more then 100 per-cent in comparison to the prior-year.

In the last years the on-line advertising developed to one of the fast-growing branches of the German economy.

According expert-opinion, is the cause of the relatively fast boom of internet-advertising is the increasing acceptance online-shopping, but also the increasing use of the powerful broadband-internet, which allows the user to provide themselves with data without long load-times.
